Tania Godoroja Pearse
Tania received her Bachelor of Art Education in 1980 at the University of British Columbia where she studied with Roy Kiyooka and Gordon Smith. She later studied book illustration under Nick Bantock at Emily Carr University. At Metchosin Summer School of the Arts she worked on monoprints with a renowned instructor from the Tamarind Institute in Albuquerque. Most recently she took courses at the St. Ives School of Painting taught by Gary Long and Liz Hough.
Tania has been a teacher and artist-in-residence and has collaborated on projects in Vancouver, Mayne Island and Los Angeles. She is a printmaker, muralist and painter who runs her own studio and currently is involved in the Salish Sea School of the Arts on Mayne Island. Tania has exhibited in several group and individual shows on Mayne Island, Vancouver's Granville Island, and at the SPARC Gallery in Venice, California. During 2016-2017 Tania directed the painting of a 10' x 30' panel constituting the Canadian panel of Judy Baca's on-going World Wall Project at SPARC.
